LEVITON RailSafe Non-metallic Armored LSC Optical Cables - 72-144 Fibres
A high performance Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) optical fiber cable combining the benefits of water swell and non-metallic armor technology.
The cables meet the stringent fire, smoke and toxicity requirements of London Underground Standard 1-085.
They are authorized for use by London Underground for installation in sub-surface locations and are listed in the Approved Product Register as ID 1708.
Design
- per Non-metallic RBG central strength member
- Layer of 12 stranded elements – 8 or 12 Fibres per tube, plus solid fillers as necessary.
- Dry water blocked interstices
- Layer of water blocking tape
- Water blocking glass yarn armor/strength members
- Orange enhanced performance LSHF inner sheath
- Layers of fire barrier tapes
- Orange enhanced performance LSHF outer sheath. Yellow sheath for single-mode fiber as LUL 1-145.
